Norm Movitz

Norm Movitz started out as a business major at the University of Missouri-Columbia.  Thankfully for us, he found that he was more interested in a friend's homework than his own, and  switched majors to Radio/Television/Film.  He secured his first job out of college at public radio KMST, and has been here ever since.   In fact, Norm holds the record for the longest-running employee at KMST; no small feat with a such a staff of long-term professionals.

Norm started out working regular business hours, cutting and formatting the features from All Things Considered for the next morning's news, and hosting a VERY eclectic music show.  Before too long, he took on his now-familiar role as our local Morning Edition host, arriving at the station at the wee hours of the morning to be the friendly voice that wakes you up each morning.

He is married to Lorraine McFarland, and together they maintain a beautiful home out in the country.  In his spare time, he enjoys photography, videography, tennis, motorcycling, and being the station's premiere audiophile.
